I plan on picking this up but am wondering if I could place a 18650 with an 21700 butt adapter to have it fit properly, I have a lot of 18's and not in the mood to buy a new set of batteries for a single light, else if y'all could recommend another light that could comfortably fit 18650's and have a clip to place on a breast pocket that would great too

The IF24 Pro takes an 18650, and does pretty much the same functions. It’s cool.
Also, yes you could put a sleeve as an adapter to use an 18650. The spring is likely long enough that it would still contact fine. Wrapping some paper around the battery would suffice as a sleeve.
Amazon and eBay sell pretty cheap 21700 to 18650 sleeves some of my other lights came with this adapter I think Fenix used to sell a crazy looking one.
