I bought this flashlight two days ago and just took the end cap off to look at what battery it is, and when I put it back together the light no longer turns on and the tail switch no longer has a click sound, what could be the reason?

Try to screw it together more tightly, if it still won’t work try to disassemble and assemble the tailcap, it should go in that order.

Is there gas in it?
Also next time screw off the head of the flashlight to remove the battery, not the tail cap and make sure that you put it flat side of the battery towards the tailcap
Side question, what kind of flashlight is it?
Perhaps the battery is dead
Make sure the battery is the right way round.
