NKD – Demko AD20S Compact Seax w/ Cap City milling/anodization

I've been on the fence about Demko for a while. Had a shark cub that I really wanted to like, but ended up selling as it wasn't for me. Never fell in love with the look of the full sized AD20 and knew it would be too big for me to realistically carry anyway. Then I met the team at a knife show, and they seemed like cool people, so I continued to stay interested in the brand.

So, after seeing this on the secondary last weekend, I decided to scoop it up. Knife arrived today and I couldn't be happier!

It's built like a tank but still feels manageable to carry. Ergos are great and it's shaped such that my thumb clears the shark lock when using the spine jimping (this felt a bit more awkward to me on the shark cub). Action is pretty snappy too (much better than the mushy feel on the shark cub).

This is my first experience with a Cap City mod and he did an amazing job. The milling work is crisp, and along with the ano, the knife has a unique look that I really like. Kind of gives it a Viking or Native American flavor to my eyes.
