These always turn a 10 minute scale swap into a 45 minute act of brute strength and luck.
Whats the best most consistent way to unscrew these? I've been using pliers with pieces of grippy leather or rubber bands. But most of the time im just turning the standoff round and round as it slips the pliers.

Heat the far end with a lighter first
Try a heat gun
Usually I use locking pliers and some scrap rubber to pad them and grab the standoff just barely tight enough so that I can get the screw out.
