Picked these up during Amazon’s Black Friday sale. Eafengrow EF231 and EF233, $15 each. Hard to pass up D2 steel + G10 at that price.
Both came in the jade G10, which I don’t usually go for, but it’s a nice change from the usual blackout or OD green. Fit and finish are surprisingly solid for the cost, no blade play, centered out of the box, and edges were decently sharp.
Specs / impressions:
EF231: 3.9” blade
EF233: 4” blade
Steel: D2
Scales: G10 (jade/translucent)
Action: Smooth on washers, breaks in quickly
Ergos: Neutral handles, good grip despite the smooth look
Blade shapes: Very usable, drop pointish, feels practical rather than tactical
Carry: On the larger side but still manageable for EDC if you’re into full-size folders
For $15, these feel like excellent beater / glove box / work knives or just a low-risk way to try out different blade sizes and shapes. Obviously not competing with higher-end steel, but for a budget pickup, I’m impressed.
Anyone else grab Eafengrow deals this year? Curious how these hold up long-term.
