Stumbled into this sub a few months ago. Worst best decision I ever made. Y’all owe me a few hundred dollars now.

I have quite a few lights that I want to make a large post on all of them and my thoughts. But for now, I had to photograph these early Christmas gifts for myself.

Emisar D3AA 14500 w/ 519A 3500K dedome

First thoughts: this thing is tiny! But wow it is bright and packs a punch. I’ve heard the negativity on the light and runtime, but I was looking for something small like the SC13A but a similar tint like the SFT40 3000K, and the idea of being able to use a regular AA in a pinch intrigued me. I think this light fits all of that. This will definitely be my go-to travel light and probably fun around the house light.

Also worth noting I ordered the pocket clip, it came with two, and both broke while putting it on. Oh well.

Emisar D4V2 Brass Dual Channel 519A 5700K dedome & NTG35 2700K

First thoughts: she’s a beauty. Brass. Heavy. Feels extremely solid. 18650 battery that I have a bunch of. I wanted a true EDC light that will impress my friends and make me smile when I look down at it (not used to that). 5700K for general purpose bright light, and 2700K when I want something warmer or a mix.

Second thoughts: I have no idea how to get the channels to instant switch. I did something and I get the mix to turn on and then just the 2700K channel but not flip between the two. I’ve been staring at that Anduril chart and it gave me flashbacks to my college calculus class taught by the TA that barely speaks English. 9H something something. I’ll figure it out.

Enjoy the pics. And the beans photo. The left is the NTG 2700K DD and the right is the 519A 3500K DD. Pics were taken with a Canon R & RF 35mm. Thanks for reading.
