Finally decided to try a light warmer than 5000k, and I couldn't be happier. It will be great around the house instead of the greenish high candela beam from my pro tac.
I’m colorblind, so tint means very little to me. I just want my lights to produce a nice bright clean beam pattern. I’m unable to perceive why people harp so much on flashlight tint.

Get a bad cri/tint light and a good cri/tint light shine on the back of your hand and you will see why there’s a preference for better quality tints and cri.

The reylight ti lan and lanapples are great little examples of a good balance of beam profile and cri/tint. Yes they are a bit of pocket jewelry as well. But mine does come to work with me for that inner smile each time I power it up.

youll understated the tint snobbery once you dedome the 519A 4000K that you might have in the Lanapple

Whatever that is on the left… Burn it.. Burn it with fire!
At least then you will get some warmer tint of it.

So that’s a Reylight LANapple-Ti with a single Nichia 519A 4000K
If you want to see some really nice tint, dedome that 519A

90+CRI or fugeddaboudit.
(That said, for extreme throwers/LEP, it really doesn’t matter.)

I finally came around about 3 weeks ago. I have spent way too much on flashlights since then lol.

Why snobbery? It seems your just representing your stuff is all. Yes its ick for me too, my first light has the same issue.

It’s not snobbery, it’s just asking for LEDs to actually be worthwhile

The tint looks off on both these lights. One is tilted green and the other magenta. Could just be the photo of course…
