Hi there,

Just thought I'd share my "altered" HD01 Pro. I'm using this light as my travel light. Sure the main emitter – while plenty floody – isn't the best looking, the moonlight is too bright for my taste, the battery is internal, and double press activates UV instead of turbo. But all in all, it's relatively compact and sits well in a pocket, its side panel is decent as a sorta-lantern, the UV and laser can prove useful.

One thing that was bothering me though, is that the angle of the double-sided clip meant that the light would sit at a very sharp angle towards the ground when clipped on a hat. Pretty annoying since that's how I use it as a "headlight". So I simply curved it (bashed it with a hammer, to be fully accurate) so that it now has an angle that works for me on a cap. A very minor alteration, but something that does improve it for my use case! Of course I can't really use the tip-up part of the clip, but I personally never do.

I also grinded the corners, because hell they are sharp and would legitimately be painful.

That's nothing compared to what some of yall do on here, but I'm pretty happy with it! Dead easy alterations, and actually useful, that's a win in my book.

I’m glad it works for you, but seeing the clip bent out from the body like that is viscerally disturbing.

(If I catch a knife or light clip on something and bend it, I have to fix it **immediately** or I won’t be able to think about anything else, and apparently that applies to photos of someone else’s lights too😆.)
