    Comments:

Years ago I picked up the non-pliers version of this Sheffield tool for a very low price. I just wanted a simple hammer for the office, and it turned out to be very handy for all kinds of things–someone else also covered it here:

When I saw this newer pliers version hit the market, I thought I’d give it a shot.

While the pliers don’t always fit the tight spots, overall it’s been fun to use. The hammer and hatchet tools have been the most useful for me while hiking and camping, but the other tools seem to work fine as well.

One common use for this is in tandem with another hatchet. You can work through a lot of wood this way.

Since I’m way off the “find your grail multi-tool” path at this point, it’s been nice to try something really different once in a while. Especially for common home and garden or yard tasks, camping, and other outdoor activities.

Overall: The tool works well but does not have a premium feel. It meets or exceeds expectations. Would buy again, keeping in mind it’s in the budget category.

    Have a great weekend everybody!
