The Skylumen Titan host is gorgeous

Hello y’all, been a while. For my bday I decided to spoil myself and buy two custom flashlights, this being the first. This is a one-off made by Vinh (link to specs in the comments). Obviously I love the sheer amount of trits, but the whole host in general is beautiful. It appears it’s using the 17mm DriverVN4 in a pill, however there is a little wiggle room for the driver. Unfortunately the driver is glued in, and the mcpcb is solder-bonded, so any modification of pill would most likely need to redo the entire pill. For me personally, I find the lack of low volt protection provided by the DriverVN4 concerning, so I might try and swap the driver to a dr jones or a dragon driver in the future. But for now, I’m really digging the light. I’m generally not a huge fan of cool-white emitters, but these 6500k SFT25R’s are pretty. I’m not exactly sure why, but the beam has the spill shaped kind of like a rotor from a rotary engine. I’ll take beamshots later tonight when it gets dark 🙂
