Picked up the Katana a few months back, got the scales in the other day. Was an absolute bitch to get the screws out and reinstall – next time they’re coming out with a drill bit – so I need to pick up a spare set or at least something that’ll work.
If you have one of the Minimalist series – buy these scales. The feel in hand is light years ahead of the finger-groove tang, it’s so comfortable.
Whipped up a belt sheath for it, as I find the factory sheath doesn’t have the best retention. 6oz veg tan with Fiebings Medium Brown dye. I don’t even notice I’m wearing it.
I’d kinda like to carry this in a pocket, but I’m really not sure how. Is fixed-blade pocket carry a thing? It’d be going front right with my phone, where my folding knife normally sits.

+1 for the scales. Completely changes the knife I love them I chose same color. Love the sheath great stuff !
