It started with a search for a UV flashlight that met the standards of the r/Flashlight community. I wasn’t sure if I wanted a dedicated unit or a multi-purpose light since I’d use the UV function so seldomly which leads to battery problems, but once I saw Torque Test Channel’s (https://youtu.be/TTmSyL9PZHw?si=sNYt-zi49P_L7DkU) I fell in love with the form factor and some included UV! I ended up going with the Jetbeam E26 over the Arkfeld based on the reviews in this sub and the performance tested in TTC’s video.

I’m now wondering if that was the right choice. The rotary dial on the E26 is crunchy, as can be seen in this video. However, I can’t tell if this is a quality issue or very bad design. Is this just a bad unit that I need to send back to where I bought it (FlashlightGo.com)?

Pretty sure that’s just how it is, unfortunately.
