I’ve seen allot of posts here and would like to update some of the information as I’ve received it.

The 16mm Lit Metal switched advertised for the S2+ black/gray (https://convoylight.com/products/16mm-light-switch-metal-button)

This does in fact work with the 12 Group (biscotti) driver and has been updated and fixed. (Unable to confirm for the Rubber version as the site still states that they’re not working with biscotti, but I don’t see how the switch itself can be any different; surely only the rubber dome and plastic spacer are different.)

Some of the current batch of switches have tolerance issues and are not working. Ive had conflicting advice from Simon stating the edges of the PCB need polishing to enable it to fit properly. And I’ve also been told to add tin to the sides of the PCB to ensure a better contact with the brass ring.

From everything I can gather and looking at the springs, you do not need to do a spring bypass as the springs look identical to the standard ones.

I’ve also had problems while using a LED switch and a 18350 tube, where button clicks are not registering and there being strange behaviour from the light.

I can also confirm that the black metal buttons are considerably worse than the silver ones. They feel horrible in comparison.

I’ve learnt allot from knowledge left publicly on the subreddit so thought id throw some more out there, and would welcome cordial corrections in the comments if you know something I don’t.
