Goofy as hell, but will be tested soon to see how useful it is. Here’s hoping it works and the breeze doesn’t tear it off!
Does anyone know of a product that’ll cut off a beam like this for use on the road? I don’t have the hardware or the know-how to 3D print one, but I imagine a universal-ish cutoff could work pretty well
Ikea Variera (drawer mat) wrapped twice around the circumference. Secured with electrical tape 3x along circumference. This lets me attach/detach it easily. Then, I added a protrusion and taped that 3x along circumference again. SMO reflector to better show how the beam cuts off just the top spill, tangent to the hot spot. But it works well with pure flood 85° TIR too. Couldn’t be bothered adding al-foil on the inner surface of the protrusion but I reckon that will convert some absorbed light into light reflected downwards. I made this in like 2020 or 2021, still holding up fine.

That is brilliant, are there 3D prints available?
I’m not sure what this does?
