I dont know much but could more knowledgeable knife dudes help me out? Whats the difference and is it worth $20 more? I know they use different metal.
And obviously the cheaper one is the one Kershaw uses for basically most of its blades. But is this fancy composite blade worth it?
Also was looking into a kershaw leek with cpm 154 steel. HELP 😂 what do i get I like how the composite looks and if its better thats a plus

I had one for just short of 10 years. Made me realize the leek is not a great knife by current standards.Â
For performance not worth it only if you like the looks enough to spend the extra
The difference in price is due to the blade steel. D2 is a higher quality than 14C28N. D2 is harder which will have better edge retention. This makes D2 more difficult to sharpen tho. 14C28N has better corrosion resistance. Personally I would pick D2 over 14C28N.
Do you want more toughness and corrosion resistance or more edge retention?
