While investigations still ongoing into the case of the missing 3715 bezel, I grabbed a Pelican 3415 for AU$66/US$45. This is for firefighting, additional to the helmet light.

Cute duck of a light. Weirdly, takes 2 x AAs one side of tube, 1 in the other.

Magnet is weaker than I’d like, slight knock will shift light if stuck with it.

Head hinge is solid so far and holds 7 different angles. Clip is solid. Phillips screws to open head is nice, haven’t looked inside yet.

UI is pretty good, as included in pics. Side switch has a satisfying click. Should be easier than my 3715 to mash wearing thick gloves.

At almost a quarter the price, I’d opt for this over the 3715. Neither are impressive in output or cutting through smoke (assumed for this one, known for 3715).

Also need to double check the intrinsically safe ratings of this one, but another poster noted it’s the same as some of our helmet lights here, if so, will be fine.

Beans of each mode included. As expected for this kind of light.
