Eager to try out an SFH73 3000K from Kaidomain I picked up an MT70 mini from Aliexpress. It is _yellow_. Thankfully I have a roll of LEE filters Zircon minus green 3 (803)
Specs (all taken at mid ramp):
– As delivered: duv **0.0098** CCT 3515K

The host:
Immediately updated to Anduril 2 although being FET only it made for some weird flashes when activating turbo. Set ceiling to max and disabled turbo (firmware used: mateminco-mt35-mini).
The MCPCB is the thickest I’ve ever seen; my Hakko was really struggling to melt the solder at all. I ended up cutting the driver wires off and desoldering them from the driver board. There’s plenty of length so I assume the leads are soldered to the MCPCB first, from factory.
Also, my last one of these hosts had an aluminium bezel, this time I went SS and it creates a big enough thermal barrier that the glass lens stays much cooler but makes lots of creaking noises with the heat changes.
