I think Magnacut is probably overhyped, but it’s still the superior option here.

Vanax cause it scored 10 for a corrosion resistant. .5 above manga cut. And .5 above edge retention. But -2 for toughness. Kinda a horse a piece. Comes down to sharpening then right? Idk i recently got into knives. Only got a 14c28n little knife my 154cm knife is in the mail. Someday il have superior steal.
I love the stories of how both came to be but the very concept of vanax being a nitrogen based steel is just so fascinating to me that it will always be my fav

Well, certainly not what I was thinking since I read the question too fast. I thought it said “Magnacut or Xanax?” I was like, ***whoa calm down–Xanax dude don’t need to go cutting…****every*…oops.
I don’t think you should choose a knife based on steel unless you have a very specific task in mind. Go with the design/features you dig. Just my 2 Rupees (Hyrule, not India).
