Howdy all! On a recent trip I lost my Coast XP9R flashlight and am needing a replacement thats also hopefully a bit of an upgrade. Since my gear usually is going overnight(s) with me in places where I need to pack light, keeping compatibility with existing kit is very important.
Redundancy without multiplying the amount of stuff that I need to take with me is my primary focus. Everything that goes with me is USB-C chargeable including my camera. This allows me to grab a few charging cords to have redundancies without a mess of wires in my bag. I also would like to keep using Coast’s Zithon-X 18650 batteries since my headlamp is a WPH30R, but if the new light can just use C123 thats acceptable since I keep some in my bag for if/when I drain the 18650’s.
The upgrade and seemingly more difficult task is finding something with a red light option. Shooting at some darksky locations prohibit the use of white light after dusk. Similarly some sensitive nature areas, such as nesting grounds for sea turtles, mandate the use of only red lights.

And then picking up another XP9R. However, that violates my goal of packing light and with redundancies. Ive looked around at stuff like the Wurkkos lights (FC12, FC13s) and some other lights but nothing seems to fit an all in one option. Is there something my search ing hasn’t managed to uncover or any recommendations? Thanks!
