    It depends on what your “everyday” looks like I’d think. Unless you regularly cut more than the odd cardboard box, the Swiss Army knife should be more than sufficient in my experience. If you’re doing more than that though, both would be sensible

    I personally almost never use a SAK for dedicated cutting, there are times when a knife like that fixed blade with a proper handle and a stouter broader blade will do the job better.
