Sofirn/ Wurkkos 👍🏼 Get something high CRI though

  2. Yes, good choice. Have both Sp35 for buck driver and sc21 cause better than pro

I’m conflicted, as someone who considered the SP35 at some point.

It has a SST40, with a smooth reflector for throw but small head, so not much throw anyways (it’ll have a hotspot though), it would probably be better if it had a SFT40 emitter. But on the other end, it has a buck driver, so there’s that.

For 5 extra € you can get a Wurkkos TD01C, with both a buck driver and the SFT40 emitter, plus a wide head for an amazing throw (like, three times the range of the SP35). For that same 5€ extra you can get a Sofirn SC33, one of my favourites. Very powerful, good runtimes, high CRI, same 21700 battery, if you prefer something more floody than throwy.

In regards to the SC21, I don’t have any 16340 light yet, but I see the appeal of it. It is very cheap, high CRI, very small, and decent runtimes for something that powerful and that size. This one looks like a good purchase to me.

Back to the SP35, what was your appeal to it? What would you use it for? It’s not a *bad* light, but for that price you can get better alternatives, depending on the purpose.

EDIT: I had to go look for runtime charts on the SP35 from third party websites, but it seems decent, about on par with, say, a Wurkkos TS22 at the same price, but the TS22 is high CRI, and also no buck driver.
