Just received my Fireflylite x1s xhp50.3 5000k. Before ordering I scoured the web looking for a size comparison to the Emisar d1k and couldn’t find one, so here it is (bonus Convoy m21h). The x1s is slightly taller, and the tailcap and bezel slightly bigger. They are basically identical. It’s that close. The x1s is definitely heavier.
Overall it’s a good light. I’m sure you’ve seen all the good reviews and they’re right. But everyone seems to be skipping the bad stuff. The current sale price of $75 is a reasonable price, but the $108 list price is unjustifiable.
– Firstly my button rattles badly. It’s like I have a rattlesnake in my pocket.
– Second the tailcap is very difficult to get tight enough to make a connection (former powerlifter/ still avid gym goer). I really appreciate the captive pocket clip, but the need to compress it while screwing on the tailcap is also awkward.
– Lastly (for complaints) the beam isn’t great. White wall beam does have rings. It won’t be an issue in actual use, but not what you’d expect in this price range.
