This is the first Benchmade I’ve bought in some time, I actually think this one is a more reasonable value, at least compared to a lot of their other offerings right now, especially with Magnacut.

This is easily the best finished Benchmade I’ve had from the factory. Centering is perfect, action is drop shut with no blade play in any direction. Sharpening is even on both sides and the grind and bevels appear to be identical.

I really really like this knife because it feels like the Bugout and Mini Adamas had a baby. It’s thicker and sturdier than the bugout (with minimal scale flex) with a thicker/larger blade and profile similar to the Adamas.

I always liked the idea of the bugout but didn’t like actually using the knife since it felt so cheap. The Adira feels much more solid all around. The aluminum backspaced adds a lot of rigidity to the design. The knife lock engages with a satisfying ‘thwack’ whenever I open it which sounds nicer than most of my Benchmades.

My biggest knock against this knife is honestly just the color and packaging. The packaging is over the top and completely unnecessary. I wish they would have stuck with their standard box and knocked off $10-20 off the MSRP. The color is personal preference. I may end up rit dyeing the scales a darker color.

Overall, I’m super happy with this purchase. I wouldn’t say it’s a good value, but it’s acceptable given Benchmades pricing. This is the ideal sized edc for me and I see myself getting a lot of use out of it.
