Coming to the experts to see if you all have any info on this knife. I imagine it’s a novelty/tourist item because of the items it was packed with, but I’m on broken bone drugs and don’t know what I’m talking about. Would be great if I could put it towards my ER bill but maybe it’ll make a better gift to a relative. Thanks for your help!

The craftsmanship is pretty poor just based on the seams and welds/solders. Souvenir/Ornamental knives like these are extremely common at tourist traps. I have to assume it is one such knife. Doesn’t mean it is worthless, but I wouldn’t have high hopes.
How does it feel in the hand? Heavy handle? Have you tried to scratch the blade to see if the steel has been hardened? The markings “(” and “*” look extremely uniform, like they were just stamped into the blade steel with a hammer.
