Some of you may be familiar with the “WG819 EDC” flashlight that was sold by Sofirn. There is what appears to be a new version, and I was sent one for review. The WG819 is a quad emitter 18350 flashlight with a TIR lens. It’s quite floody and produces around 2,000 lumens. This new model is a single emitter version with an OP reflector, and more on the throwy side. It also takes an 18350 even though it came with a 16340 instead. Otherwise they both look very similar, with the same knurling, red accents, backlit switch, knurling, etc.

Anyway, I would like to be sure it’s an SST40 so I can provide accurate information in my review.

I don’t believe the WG819 is actually made by Sofirn. It’s my understanding they were just selling them on behalf of a 3rd party. I am not sure if this model is associated with Sofirn in any way, but it’s clearly made by the same manufacturer. Just wanted to clarify that.

Thanks!
