Best scissors I’ve ever seen on a multitool. The scissors are made of German 4116 steel (equivalent to or slightly better than Victorinox steel).
16 different blade attachments are available. My favorites:
* Utility blade in 5K5 steel (pictured) * Diamond file * Multitool (strap cutter, bottle opener, can opener, wrench – 10 tools in all) * Saw * Comb
I recently took it on a whitewater rafting/camping trip. I used the file attachment as it paired great with my Leatherman Signal (pliers, hammer, saw, knife, screwdriver).
It’s 4.4″ closed and weighs 4.6 ounces. I have two. I keep one in my kitchen for package opening and various scissor tasks, and one in my toolkit. The utility blade opens one-handed. The S501U uses a liner lock. Mine sits at a perfect 50% engagement.
