I have been meaning to get a Mora forever,.but always just say, “Oh, I’ll get one eventually.” I like it a lot, but I’m surprised it didn’t come very sharp, since I have heard people say Moras are some of the sharpest from the factory. Anyway it also had a micro-bevel so I took that out so it’s a.true scandi grind at 12 degrees per side. Guess we’ll see how the edge holds up.
The Sage 5 I had to get just to try Maxamet, but I like that it’s almost the same as Manix but with a bit shorter of a blade. I prefer the CBBL but the compression lock is good too. I am hoping to that Maxamet holds a fine edge a little more than the other edge-retention monsters I have tried, but if not I will probably just resell.
