My first good hunting knife was a Schrade Old Timer my father gave me when I was 15. It’s what set the bar for me for a good knife.

I modeled this one off that Old Timer, but changed what I didn’t like about it. Namely, the handle. The Old Timer’s handle was very boxy and would sometimes roll in the hand. This one won’t do that.

The 6.5″ blade is 5160, forged from an old leaf spring. The handle is cocobolo and gives an overall length of just under 12″
