Hello, i just recived this knife which uses 80CrV2 Carbon steel.
This will be my service knife for the summer. We will be doing exercises in the swamps and the knife and sheath will likely get wet.
What should in use to protect the knife from rust? I will have acces to CLP for my rifle and could use the same for the knife but i prefer not to because its not food safe. I plan on using this knife for cutting saucages and such when camping as well.
I also have Snoseal for my boots if that helps ?

That is a great knife! I got two of them, the larger(longer) one and the skrama.
I would try get my hands on some ballistol oil, i.c.e. chapstick will do fine to.
