The D4K boost is a damn fine flashlight.
We have two, identical but in anodizing color, one gets used daily around the house after dark, at levels less than quarter brightness (total of 10-120) and low candle about 3h per week, the other only as a bed light and not everyday, and both continuously for around 2h Saturdays and 2h Sundays at right before the switch goes to hi (which I believe is half).
Well, the Liitokala battery of the most used one lasts more than 2 months, and the other one I haven’t bothered checking.
The extra foggy optic is the best of the three options, and really the one that makes most sense in this type of floody light.
The only minor issues are that the cyan is not cyan at all, but an ugly shade of pale baby blue; the new retaining switch has “petals” for screwing it in, which of course can’t be aligned; and the new switch’s edge is thinner while the old thicker one felt better.
Granted, I have only the Wurkkos FC11, Convoy T3 and S2+, Solitaire LED, and generic Chinese to compare, but this is everything you could want in a small-spaces lamp. It’s a joy to use.
