I love the civivi vision fg. Clearly. After tackling my first set of handmade scales (uncoated, but well used oak at the bottom of the photo) I was a bit more confident going into the 2nd set. Went with a mahogany I had lying around and finished them with an avocado oil rub. Definitely turned out nicer than the first set, although I definitely still had some minor screw ups. Overall I’m pretty happy with the turn out. Gotta get some practice in before I try with more expensive materials. While I had it apart I removed the lockbar stop pin so it would be like the vision r just to try it out. Probably not gonna like that in the long run though.
