I’m slowly getting some med stuff together. I recently bought 2 CAT TQs, one for my bag and one for in the car. Both pouches I got for them came with shears. I’m looking to either piece together an IFAK or buy a pre made one (granted it doesn’t cost an arm and a leg). I know the big things to have are chest seals, gauze (with or without quick clot?), TQ, shears, pressure bandage, possibly a mylar blanket. Any other ideas? Places to buy pieces from or budget pre mades?

Mine is a NAR CAT TQ, a backup SWAT-T (works well on dogs), 2 non-vented chest seals, 1 Israeli Bandage, 2 Rolled Cotton Gauzes (no quikclot or celox), 4 4×4 Gauze Pads, 2 5×9 Trauma Pads, 1 roll Cloth Tape, 1 roll Self-Adherent tape, 1 SAM Splint, 2 Triangular Slings, 4 pair nitrile gloves, 1 CRP shield, 1 Space Blanket, and a pair of XShears.
In a separate pouch I have a small boo-boo kit with bandaids, neosporin, advil, tylenol, asprin, imodium, benadryl, antibiotics, narcan, etc.
I purchased all of it separate, because with the gauzes I can get a box of 12 or whatever, the tapes came in a 3 pack, the bandaids came in a box of like 250 assorted, the gloves came in a box of 200, etc… That way I have extras to refill my kits and such.
