I don’t know if it’s been discussed or not, but I disassembled the Salt Manix today to instal my Flytanium titanium cage… and I find a black ball instead of the usual stainless! Is it indeed ceramic? Or is it DLC’d stainless? Either way, super cool!

Noticed this myself. Honestly wondering if it’s not simply DLCed or nitrided. My non-expert brain finds this more likely. Ceramic would certainly be corrosion-proof, though.
Yup. It’s ceramic. That’s the best way to make it totally corrosion proof. Coatings could wear on a ball lock.
