I recently purchased this knife. The 2 blades are marked A W Wadsworth & Sons Germany. Thus far I have been able to determine that the company was in buisness 1905-1936. However, all images of similar knives do not have the brass loop at one end. I’m assuming this loop is for a chain similar to a pocket watch. I would like to know if this is original to the knife or was a modification made by a previous owner?
