Alright EDC fam, I had fun posting [my daily carry](https://www.reddit.com/r/EDC/comments/12dtj0i/36m_daily/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3) yesterday, thanks for those who spent time to chat! That said, I want to give an expanded version of my true EDC load out while opening myself up for suggestions on things to add/remove based on your experiences. I actually haven’t taken a true inventory of everything I’m carrying until I laid it all out for these pictures so it was fun to take stock. Along the way, I’ll try to give small reviews/notes about whatever I can. Expect this to be a MASSIVE post haha.
Here’s the big picture explanation of how I handle my packs: I have the items that were in my previous post (and last picture in this one) 100% of the time, my sling is on me 98% of the time and my backpack is on me 90% of the time with the tech pouch inside at all times. What this means is that I have my backpack with me nearly always when I leave the house, even if I decide to leave it in the car when I get to my destination. My sling and tech pouch are always in the backpack. When I get to my destination, if I leave my backpack in the car, I have the flexibility of taking my sling vs body carry only. This way, if I decide to leave my car with minimal gear, I can access the rest relatively easily if needed. I also have plenty of room to put my kids’ diapers, wipes and extra clothes into my backpack when I’m out with them.
Ok now to get into each pack.
**Backpack**
I’m a HUGE Evergoods fan (obviously). The owners come from Patagonia and GORUCK. I love their design, function, and quality. They’re incredibly intentional about the use of space like accessibility to pockets and how a pack sits on your body while upholding excellence in the quality of their products. I own the CHZ22 (gym bag) and CPL28 (travel bag) as well. The CHZ26 is the perfect size for my daily needs. I like the 2 side pockets that the CPL doesn’t have — I put my stethoscope in one and Stanley 30oz water bottle in the other. The quick access pockets at the top is perfect. The only negative things are how the top outer half slouches if the internal pouch has things in it, and I wish they were able to get it to stand up easier on it’s own. It needs to lean on something to remain upright. Otherwise, I love this backpack.
(**PAUSE**. I’m now realizing writing up this much detail and providing links for each item will take up way too much of my time lol. Going to just list things and answer questions in comments. Thanks!)
