After I removed and cleaned the scales they went in the ammonia chamber with coarse Morton’s salt for 6 hrs, afterwards I coated them with 2 coats of Krylon ultimate clear coat and let it cure for 24hrs. I went sanded with 2500, 3k, and 5k grit and reassembled.
