I love my premium steel pocket knives but there’s something nice about being able to get a mirror edge on in about 10 minuets. Also, what are some of your favorite small fixed blades?

Esee Izula in 1095 with Micarta scales. Sharpened on a Worksharp Precision Adjust 600, 300, Ceramic and stropped on leather with green compound.

Civivi d-art by ostap hel. It’s not for slicing, it’s mostly just a sharp point, but it’s so useful for its size and weight.

I put the sheath in my coin pocket on my jeans and don’t notice it’s there until i need it.

VG10/BD1/154cm is about as premium as I like to go. I much prefer something I can touch up to a razor sharp edge in just a few minutes.

Ive been meaning to get my hand on an izula but in the meantime my favourites are the mora eldris and the counter tac 2. Honestly tough if I carry a fixed blade I usually go with something a bit bigger than my folders like an esse4

Bradford G Cleaver, Cold Steel Mini Tac Bowie, Artisan Sea Snake, CRKT Minimalist have been on my recent rotation. So many great EDC fixed blades out there.

I carry a Rainier Fastpak with me everywhere, insanely nice knife for the price.

I have an MKM Makro 1 which might be the perfect knife for cleaning birds. Great steel, sturdy and light; plus they sell a kydex sheath for it if you want to carry outside of your pocket.

I’ve also got an Izula II like yours and I carry it everywhere. It looks all dirty and beat up but I think that adds to the charm

i really like my izula too but i think it needs to be harder, i have trouble getting a really keen edge on it.
