Should be fine overnight. Copper doesn’t rust. Blade should be ok too. Clean and oil when your done.

vg10 is a decently stainless steel (15%cromium) you should have no issue, copper doesnt rust although it can patina over time (not in this case though)

Take it apart and reassemble without the blade on the stand-offs and pivot. No worry whatsoever then but more work

What knife is that? Looks great, and I’ve been looking for a copper handled knife.

Stainless doesn’t necessarily mean corrosion proof, in fact if you don’t wrap that in Saran wrap and possibly even with a light oil underneath that you are definitely risking corrosion of the blade.

Especially since depending on how the leather has been treated can cause a chemical reaction that is damaging. I discovered this the hard way with something out of 440c which has 3-5%higher chromium content then vg-10

If you have problems with the copper, windex is your friend. You can spray and buff with a soft rag and it shall be fixed. Honestly I enjoy the unique discoloration from the sweat from your hand over them on brass. It truly makes it unique for you and how you hold the knife.

I you are really that worried, make a blank out of wood that mostly matches it.

You already have great advice going on here. I’m just commenting to day how cool that knife is!

Those materials are fine, I am most worried about the hardware. That hardware is often the cheaper materials and maybe non-stainless. Ask the knife-maker what they think. I’d disassemble.
